Are we talking a gun simply for range shooting/home defence or one for CC?
I am looking for a range/ home defense gun, that is fairly cheap to shoot, but I can still kill zombies with it.

Taurus makes a nice 9mm (PT1110) that’s not too expensive. A Remington 870 is fun to shot, 100 rds for 20$ @ Walmart (the birdshot though) and it’s less than 400$. Not to mention pump action is scary sounding enough the intruder will run away.
